I have recently become OBSESSED with Hyatt redemptions using my World of Hyatt Rewards Points. We were able to utilize Hyatt hotels (mainly Hyatt Place hotels) on our Utah State Park Road Trip this past summer and it is amazing how much of a great value you can get from them. Hyatt has a wide range of portfolio options, including 20 brands, with more than 900 hotel, all-inclusive, and wellness resort properties. Their brand spans across six continents in over 65 countries.

World of Hyatt

The list below includes luxury Hyatt hotels that can be booked using World of Hyatt points, where you will get your most value out of your points. To learn more about the program, be sure to check out the Basic Guides to Earning and Redeeming World of Hyatt points.

Why I Love the World of Hyatt Program

World of Hyatt has a pretty cheap redemption rate on some of their hotels, like Hyatt Place or Hyatt House. But they also have some pretty incredible brands, some even offer all-inclusive resort stays. In 2018, Hyatt added a “Small Luxury Hotels” brand to its collection which added over 500 independently owned hotels that you can now book through the Hyatt portal. Even though the Hyatt Portfolio is one of the smaller ones in the hotel brands, World of Hyatt Points holds some of the most value in terms of points redemptions. This means you can get that luxury travel experience by utilizing those World of Hyatt Points.

Small Luxury Hotels

One thing to note, Small Luxury Hotels (SLH), work a little bit differently than your normal World of Hyatt Redemptions. This means that traditional amenities are not included in your stay. This includes complimentary parking, club lounge access, complimentary bottled water, waived resort fees, and more. Also, note that award bookings are for 2 adults and additional adults or children may be charged an additional fee based on the property. If you are a World of Hyatt member, regardless of your tier status you will receive the following when you book qualifying stays at Small Luxury Hotel Brands:

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Complimentary continental breakfast for two
  • Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
  • Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
  • One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)
  • Elite members receive their standard tier Bonus Points on eligible room rates (10% Discoverist, 20% Explorist, 30% Globalist)

Now, let’s dig in on some of the best Hyatt Stays where you can get the most bang for your buck (and by buck, I mean points.)

Best Hyatt Redemptions:

1. Santorini Secret Suites & Spa (SLH)

  • 40,000 World of Hyatt Points per Night
    • $790 average nightly price (I saw ranges from $600-$1000 for the base room)
    • 5 nights at $3,952.50 or 200,000 World of Hyatt Points.
    • Value of 1.9 cents per point

Santorini Secret Suites & Spa is an incredible 5-star boutique hotel that started in 2014. According to Santorini-Secret.com, Secret Hotels wanted to create an experience that would go above and beyond guest’s preferences in luxury hospitality but also remaining authentic to local traditions. Santorini Secret Suites & Spa has 17 tranquil suites with a private pool or hot tub and is located right in Oia. This hotel makes me want to hop back over to Santorini, even if it’s just for a night to enjoy the beauty. Santorini in general is a beautiful place to go, but being able to utilize Hyatt Points for a stay gives this place a top pick on our Best Hyatt Redemptions.

2. Sailrock, Turks & Caicos (SLH)

  • 40,000 World of Hyatt Points per Night
  • $600 average nightly price
  • 5 nights at $3,000 or 200,000 World of Hyatt Points.
  • Value of 1.5 cents per point

Sailrock Resort is featured on its own remote island, with beautiful azure water and white sandy beaches. What I like about this resort is when utilizing a Hyatt Award Redemption, it actually includes transportation and the Island Hopping flight to the island from PLS airport. Sailrock Resort only has 36 Suites and villas and offers infinity pool views, deep tissue massages, open-air spa treatment cabanas, and secluded beaches for an intimate experience. This is definitely a destination I am adding to my bucket list as soon as I can fly back over to Turks & Caicos. It is also a quick flight from the U.S.

3. Park Hyatt Maldives

  • 30,000 World of Hyatt Points per Night
  • $675 average nightly price
  • 5 nights at $3,375 or 150,000 World of Hyatt Points.
  • Value of 2.25 cents per point

I feel like you cannot have a top 5 Hyatt redemptions and not include the Maldives on here. The Park Hyatt Maldives certainly does not disappoint. The Park Hyatt Maldives is located in North Huvadhoo, which is one of the largest natural ring-shaped reef islands in the world. Park Hyatt Maldives is an amazing luxury resort that offers a variety of activities. You are sure to find something to do, whether it is relaxing in the spa, scuba diving, learning the history of Maldives, cooking a feast, sea kayaking, candlelight beach dinners, equator experiences and so much more!

The Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is located on the south shores of the island. With over 70,000 sq ft of space, you are likely to find something to do at the resort! Relax in one of 4 outdoor infinity pools, head to the spa, get a workout in their 24 hour fitness center, or find a spot on their 15-acre beachfront property to enjoy the ocean. Nearby Andaz Maui, you can enjoy hiking, scuba diving, helicopter rides, sunset sails, or whatever your heart desires for the day. Upon your return to the hotel, you can enjoy an authentic beachfront Polynesian luau. Be sure to check out two of our readers review of the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort where they enjoyed their honeymoon!

5. Ziva/Zilara All Inclusive Properties (for the example I will use Cap Cana)

  • 25,000 World of Hyatt Points per Night
  • $675 average nightly price
  • 5 nights at $3,375 or 125,000 World of Hyatt Points.
  • Value of 2.25 cents per point

If you are looking for an All-Inclusive getaway, then the Hyatt Ziva/Zilara are great properties for you. Hyatt Ziva are kid-friendly resorts, whereas its counterpart, Hyatt Zilara, are exclusively adults only. We had the luxury of staying at the Hyatt Zilara in Jamaica a few years back and it did not disappoint. The food was pretty amazing with a wide variety of offerings, entertainment each night included different activities of shows to watch or partake in, endless flowing drinks (alcoholic or not), amazing ocean views from the room, and even swim up bars in the pools!

All Inclusive locations:

  • Cap Cana, Dominican Republic
  • Cancun, Mexico
  • Los Cobos, Mexico
  • Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
  • Rose Hall, Jamaica

A standard night rate will set you back 20,000-25,000 points per night, depending on which location. The Hyatt Zilara/Ziva Cap Cana is Hyatt’s newest All-Inclusive resort, opening in December of 2019. This was also the first property in the Dominican Republic, located just south of Punta Cana.
