Southwest is going to be releasing their schedule Tomorrow, June 10th, 2020. I called to find the time and was instructed it depends upon when how fast they can get the routes loaded into the system. She said typically it is around 7:00 AM CST. HOWEVER, she said take that for what you will. She has seen as early as 5:00 AM CST and as late as 10:00 AM CST. Travel is currently bookable through November 5, 2021.
Refundable Fares
Booking a “Wanna Get Away” Fare, you can always cancel up until 10 minutes before the flight. You will receive a flight credit for the taxes & fees and not a refund back to your credit card. (Unless it is within the 24 hour period of booking).
Booking Anytime and Business Select Fares are ALWAYS refundable (up until 10 minutes before the scheduled flight) back to your credit card, OR in the form of a Southwest Credit.

Schedule Booking
This will be for sales through January 5th, 2022! If you have ANY plans to travel for the holidays, or maybe even a Buffalo Bills Football game (which is also what we will be eyeing) I’d be SURE to get up early for these flights. They will without a doubt go quick.
Again, I’m not sure exactly what time the flights will be released, but when I called she said they told them to tell anyone who asks 7 AM CST (8 AM EST). I have seen earlier releases as early as 5:00 am. I remember a year or two ago pulling an all-nighter to see the release time, to fail miserably. They had a delay due to a ‘technical issue’ and flights weren’t released until after 10 or 11 am if I remember correctly.

Happy Travel Booking! May the odds be in your favor!
Don’t forget, if you earn the Southwest COMPANION PASS for next year, you can always ADD your companion at any time as long as they have any open seats!
Basic Review
Let us know if you have any luck booking those coveted holiday tickets! We always like to have a plan with dates and to/from places to go for release days. This way we can divide and concur. If you have Southwest Companion Pass, be sure to book the flights for the companion pass holder because you can always add your companion later. This will get you more flights at the lower ‘wanna get away price’ for high-travel times.
Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card
Earn 75,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards Points after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months your account is open. $69 annual fee. Learn More Here.
