As our beautiful summer has come to an end, so did the third quarter of the Chase Freedom Flex 5% cashback promotion. Now we are starting the end of the year, Chase Freedom Flex Quarter 4 Promotion!
To recap, the third quarter provided Chase Freedom Flex customers with 5% (or 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards Points) on purchases at Grocery Stores and Streaming Services.
Quarterly Challenges
You could maximize this promotion on purchases up to $1,500 total which equals a bonus of 7,500 points or $75 cashback. Even more cashback, if you redeem using Pay Yourself Back.
If you are a full-fledged basic traveler, you know that as a Chase Sapphire cardholder, you can transfer those same points for even more value. Chase Freedom Flex Quarter 4
It’s important to remember that in order for you to start earning bonus points for Chase Freedom Flex Quarter 4, you’ll need to opt into the offer. Just click through the targeted Chase Freedom Flex emails or by logging into your Chase online banking account. The deadline to opt into this promotion is December 14th, 2021.
The Chase Freedom Flex Quarter Four 5X categories are Walmart and PayPal. I like the Quarter 4 promotion because I don’t have to go out of my way to meet the $1,500 maximum threshold. Dozens of merchants accept PayPal when checking out. All you have to do is add your Freedom or Freedom Flex card to the PayPal Wallet and set it as the preferred card.

Finally, if I somehow find myself in a bind. I could use my Freedom Flex card to send money via PayPal with a 2.9% fee. Ideally, this would be my last resort. The fee for $1,500 is $28.94, leaving a $46.06 profit.
