Who doesn’t love FREE food?! I know that both I and my summer of 2020 waistline do. All jokes aside, the Doordash summer of DashPass is just what I need to give me a break from PB & J, Ramen, and Pasta (the college diet). For six weeks, from July 27th through September 6th there will a different food promotion every week. It’s important to note that this promotion is only for DashPass members but if you are a holder of a handful of credit cards you may already be without knowing it. What is DashPass
DashPass is a subscription service that offers unlimited deliveries from thousands of eligible restaurants with no delivery fee on orders over $12. When browsing restaurants within the DoorDash app or website, the DashPass logo indicates whether the restaurant qualifies for free delivery and reduced fees. A subscription to DashPass costs $9.99 per month and can be canceled anytime.
Which Credit Cards Qualify for DashPass
Chase Sapphire Reserve
- Free DashPass membership for 12 months (maximum of 24 months) from activation
- $60 Credit per calendar year (2020 and 2021)
Chase Sapphire Preferred
- Free DashPass membership for 12 months (maximum of 24 months) from activation
Chase Freedom, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Freedom Student, Chase Slate
- Free DashPass benefits on eligible orders for 3 months after activation, when the primary cardmember or an authorized user activates the benefit. After the first 3 months, the user will be auto-enrolled for the next 9 months in DashPass with a 50% discount applied to the then-current membership rate. After the first 12 months, the user will be auto-enrolled into full-price membership at the then-current rate.
How to start a complimentary membership with a qualifying credit card
Simply Create a DoorDash account and link the qualifying Chase credit card as the primary method of payment. After doing so an invitation to DashPass will appear. After joining, be sure to notate when the complimentary membership ends in order to avoid any surprise charges. Now let’s get into the Summer of DashPass promotion!

Week 1––7/27 – 8/2: Enjoy a free meal from a local restaurant up to $15.

Week 2––8/3 – 8/9: Get a free slice of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory when you order $12 or more.
Free Slice of Cheesecake Promotional Terms: Guests who complete a Qualifying Purchase are eligible to receive a Free Slice of Cheesecake. To receive the Free Slice of Cheesecake, guests must add a slice of Cheesecake to their Qualifying Purchase and include the promotion code “CHEESECAKE20” at checkout.
Week 3—8/10 – 8/16: Get B-O-G-O free when you order entrees from Chipotle.
Chipotle B-O-G-O Promotional Terms: Offer valid for one (1) order while supplies last. Offer valid from 08/10/20 through 08/16/20 at 11:59pm PT at participating locations, excluding alcohol.
