There have been reports that Southwest has been gifting it’s Rapid Rewards Members with A List Status. We have had a few of our readers reach out with the news that they were surprised to find the elite status in their accounts. Typically, A-List Status requires either 25 One-way flights or 35,000 Tier Qualifying Points in a calendar year. The gifted A-List Status is good through June 30th 2020.

What does Southwest A-List get you?

  • Priority Boarding
  • 25% Earning Bonus
  • Priority Check-in and Security Line Access (Where Available)
  • Same-day Standby
  • Dedicated A-List Member Phone Line

Basic Breakdown

I love when programs surprise it’s members with a taste of the elite life. If you have travel booked this year, it’s worth a look to see if you were one of the lucky members targeted. Southwest Airlines is still one of my favorite airlines, thanks to the Southwest Companion Pass and no change/cancelation fees. A final PSA is that now is the best time of the year to pursue the Southwest Companion Pass in order to maximize the length of the Buy-One-Get-One-Free Flights!
